Mask Review: LuLuLun Plus Masks

I noticed that LuLuLun came out with a new mask recently called LuLuLun Plus. Each type comes in a variety of pastel colors.  Although it doesn’t come as many colors as in their well-known  7-day mask, I still really wanted to try the mask out. I tried LuLuLun 7 days mask {read my review here} before but it didn’t really impress me. Did LuLuLun improved their mask in this new line, LuLuLun Plus or will it leave me wanting more?

The LuLuLun Plus has two different type of masks, one called Aroma Line and the other called Nature Care Line.

LuLuLun Plus : AROMA LINE

In the Aroma Line uses aromatic oils to offers a therapeutic skincare experience. Currently, there are 5 formulas: Rose, Clary Sage, Lavender, Lemon Grass, and Yuzu.

Rose –Feminine Mystique Boost (Rose, Rose-hip and Angelica herb): Provides anti-aging care while conditioning the skin for a natural healthy glow

Clary Sage –For Spirt Clarity (Clary Sage, Lemon balm, Elderflower ): nourishes and moisturizes skin for a soft and smooth complexion

Lavender – For Dream-like healing ( Lavender, Marjoram, and Blueberries):   With the help of aromatherapy it destress the mind and it will effectively permeate dry skin to restore optimal nourishment

Lemongrass – Courage to Tackle new challenges (Lemongrass, Artichoke, Herbs and Wild Thyme): A mask that revitalizes your senses when you are tired. It returns your skin to its natural luxuriant appearance

Yuzu – Stress Relief (Yuzu, Mugwort, Ginseng): A mask that relieves your stress from your daily life while the ceramides in the mask nourish your skin for a bright and vibrant complexion

LuLuLun Plus : NATURE CARE LINE

In the Nature Care Line contains natural beauty components tailored to various skin types. Beautiful skin with the power of nature. There are 5 masks in this line: Homeo age, Smooth Gold, Sweet Drop, Fresh Red and Sunny Day.

Homeo age – Complete Aging Care( Seaweed, Camu Camu fruit, Blue elastin from Tuna ) : A mask full of nutrients which is a vital element of aging care

Smooth Gold – Moisturizing Shine (Gold Silk, Purple Rice, Sake) : Gold silk with hyaluronic acid and ceramide works to restore skin moisture and restore their radiant luster for a  moisturizing shine

Sweet Drop – Lovely Moisturizing (Manuka Honey, Apricot, Avocado): While the manuka hydrates the skin it protects the skin from winter dryness, creating an irresistible youthful and loveable skin appearance

Fresh Red – Youthful Clarity (Acerola, Acai, A blend of Vitamins( Vit C Vit E Vit B3)): A mask that contains a trove of vitamins and minerals that control the melanin production to prevent wrinkles and freckles

Sunny Day – Uniform Brightness (Sunflowers, Yukimoshit, Vit C derivative): A mask that contains a natural source of components that create soft and glowing skin

What I thought

On their site, they don’t really mention what type of cotton they used, but I think it’s a pretty good quality mask.  When I first tried the mask I was really surprised with the thickness of the mask. It is thicker and more luxurious than their in their 7-day LuLuLun masks. The mask also has a nice fit as well, it doesn’t slip, nor is it too big or too small.

Result

I tried out the Fresh Red from the Nature care line and love the results very much. It made my skin super glowy and super healthy. Super recommended.

Although I liked the Nature care line, I’m not too sure about the Aroma line. I tried out the Yuzu mask since I love yuzu, especially tsukemen. (So good! you must go Afuri if you ever visit Japan!)When I first applied the Yuzu mask, my skin felt a tingling sensation. I’m used to harsh products so I don’t know why this mask stung so much. However, after taking off the mask, my skin looked glowy and healthier like the Fresh Red mask.

Conclusion

I am quite impressed with the LuLuLun plus mask. They definitely stepped up their game from their 7-day mask. The quality and the results of the mask is much better than the 7-day mask. I would definitely recommend the Nature Care Line Masks, but you might want to be careful of the mask from the Aroma Line Masks.
