Round Lab Birch Juice Moisturizing Sunscreen SPF 50+ PA+++ Review

It is probably no secret, Asian sunscreens are pretty damn good. Unlike most western sunscreens which are pasty and hard to blend in. Asian sunscreens is an entirely different animal. Basically Asian sunscreens are what all sunscreen wearers dreams about. They  feel practically like moisturizers. Light weight, blends like a dream and zero white cast. What else can you ask for? One of the top contenders from one my favorite brands Round Lab is the best Asian sunscreen in the Round Lab Birch Moisturizing Sun Cream. In this post, will be a Round Lab Birch Juice Sunscreen Review.  I will review the sunscreen and see any good and if it any better than other Asian sunscreens.

Post Summary – Round Lab Birch Sunscreen:
    • Round Lab Birch Sunscreen Worth Buying: 4.7 🌟 Yes
    • Better than all other Asian Sunscreen: More or less the same
    • Who might the Birch Sunscreen be for: Almost anyone

Brand – The Round lab

Round Lab has been my go to brand for a while now. It is a brand that I can always rely on. I haven’t tried any product from Round Lab that have been short of amazing. If you want a toner that just balances your skin no matter what, check out their 1025 Dokdo toner ( I always buy the big size, cause it’s that good. Trust me ). It is a reliable brand if you want something gentle and effective. Their philosophy is creating products that is clean and pure while focusing on using ingredients from Korea.

Sunscreen 101: Round Lab

Questions:

  • Is Round Lab Physical or Chemical Sunscreen?

The Round Lab Birch Sunscreen is a chemical sunscreen.

It Uses : Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Ethylhexyl Triazone, Methylene Bis-Benzotriazolyl Tetramethylbutylphenol, Diethylhexyl Butamido Triazone

  • Is Round Lab Waterproof?

On the Round Lab website, it has no mention of it being a waterproof sunscreen. I wouldn’t heavily rely on the Round Lab Sunscreen if you go swimming.

  • Is Round Lab Sunscreen non comedogenic

If you are asking if Round Lab Sunscreen is non comedogenic because you are afraid it will clog your pores, I have bad news. It is hard to be truly non comedogenic. Furthermore, the term non comedogenic doesn’t really mean anything. One company that label one product as comedogenic could be safe in another company.

However, the Round Lab Birch Juice Sun Cream does contain one comedogenic ingredient which Sorbitan Oleate. It is found near the bottom of the ingredient list, so it shouldn’t clog your pores. To iterate once again being labeled comedogenic or not might not be helpful. I personally didn’t get any acne from using this sunscreen.

What Skin type does this work for?

  • Is the sunscreen by Round Lab for oily skin?

The Round Lab Birch Sunscreen is pretty lightweight. It absorb quickly into the skin. It leaves your skin feeling slightly moisturized but not greasy. Oily skin people should be able to use the Round Lab Birch Sunscreen with no issue.

  • Round lab sunscreen for sensitive skin?

Sensitive skin people should be able to use Round Lab Birch Sunscreen. However, in general it is known that chemical sunscreen tends to more irritating than mineral sunscreen. If you typically react to chemical sunscreen, you would probably react generally the same.

Additionally, the Round Lab Sunscreen contain niacinamide and ascorbic acid. Sometimes when you skin is compromised or super sensitive niacinamide and ascorbic acid could be irritating to your skin.

  • Is Round Lab sunscreen for acne skin?

Can you use the Round Lab Sunscreen if you have acne prone skin? It is hard to know if anything is causing your acne. However if you have compromised and irritated skin, it might be better to try mineral sunscreen.

My Thought / Round Lab Birch Sunscreen Review

The Round Lab Birch Sunscreen is a good sunscreen. Like most Asian sunscreen this is a good chemical sunscreen that leaves zero to little white cast. It looks and feel like a moisturizer.

Is it 100x better than any other Asian sunscreen?

It is decent sunscreen but I wouldn’t say I would not be able to live without it. I love Round Lab but if I had to choose between their Round lab 1025 Dokdo Toner or their Birch Moisturizing Sunscreen for the rest of my life, I would choose their toner in a heart beat. Not that it is not good, but most Asian Sunscreens blend pretty easily as well, and Round Lab’s Birch Sunscreen is no exception. While their toner just can’t be easily found else where.

If you never tried Asian sunscreens or want to try something new the Round Lab Birch Sunscreen is a good sunscreen to try out. It is light weight, moisturizing, no white cast… what else can you ask for?

Overview:

Round Lab Birch Sunscreen

  • Price:  $15
  • Rating: 4.7
  • Repurchase? Yes, but probably won’t be running out to buy
  • Skin types: All skin types
  • Made my fungal acne worst? Not that I noticed
  • Where to buy:  Round Lab, Amazon

Conclusion: Round Lab Sunscreen Review

The Round Lab Birch Sunscreen is pretty decent sunscreen. It is light weight, fast absorbing, zero white cast and moisturizing. It feels like most Asian sunscreen on the market, so I wouldn’t say you have to run out and buy it. But it is a good sunscreen if you want to try something new, then the Round Lab Sunscreen is a good sunscreen to try out. And… if you have never tried any Asian Sunscreens before, this might change your life.
