Best Products of Beauty Of Joseon

In this post, I will review products from the brand Beauty of Joseon and see which product from Beauty of Joseon is the best and worth trying. We will also be answering the question is Beauty of Joseon good?

I’m not going to lie, one brand that I have been interested in trying but have somewhat skeptical of the effectiveness is the brand Beauty of Joseon. It’s not that I find the brand sketchy, not at all. It is just that I somewhat believe herbal or “natural products” are not as effective. It was not until I tried Beauty of Joseon Rice Deep Glow Serum, that I thought maybe I should give them a try and that’s how I ended up trying all these products.

Beauty of Joseon Product Review

What I tried
  • Glow Deep Serum: Rice + Arbutin:

HG status. If you like I’m from Rice Toner, you will like the Glow Deep Serum (one of my all-time favorite brightening toners). My skin reacts well with rice and arbutin so it makes sense that my skin reacts well with the Beauty of Joseon Glow Deep Rice Serum. It brightened my overall skin tone. Looks clearer and brighter. Highly recommend!

Rating: 5/5

  • Glow  Serum: Propolis + Niacinamide

Meh. Overall my skin did look glowier when applied The Glow Serum to my skin but when I don’t have it on, my skin wasn’t glowy anymore. Overall didn’t notice any difference in my skin. Made my skin look a bit glowier but my overall skin tone was not brighter nor notice any difference in my skin.

Rating: 3/5

  • Revive Serum: Ginseng + Snail Mucin

Meh. Just like the Glow Serum, I did not notice any difference in my skin for the Revive Serum. I don’t think it did anything to my skin at all. It gives a similar effect to the ginseng toner. Kind of more lively and healthier. However, didn’t notice any difference in my skin. I  much preferred the Beauty of Joseon rice serum.

Rating: 3/5

  • Calming Serum

Meh. The Beauty of Joseon Calming Serum is okay, but not my favorite calming serum. I find other products more calming and more effective for calming my skin. The Axis-Y Barrier Serum is much better at calming and barrier repair compared to the BOJ Calming Serum. My other all-time favorite for calming acne-prone skin is The I’m from Mugwort toner.

Rating: 3/5

  • Gingseng Essence water

Okay. The Beauty of Joseon Essence Water might be better for sensitive and dry skin. Not my all-time favorite toner but decent one. It is lightweight and decently hydrating. My skin looked a bit glower and looked more nourished..? I am not sure if that is the right word for it. You know that look when you look tan and you have that glow? The Gingseng essence makes that kind of glow. As an Asian that doesn’t really like the tan look not my favorite. Other than my skin looked somewhat glowier, I didn’t notice a big difference in my skin.

Rating: 3.3/5

  • Revive eye serum: Ginseng

Worth a try. The Revive Eye Serum lightweight eye cream is worth trying out, especially for an affordable eye cream. I think the Beauty of Joseon eye serum is worth trying. It is lightweight and absorbs fast. I don’t have deep fine lines so I don’t know if it gets rid of wrinkles. One thing that kind of bugged me, is that it turned yellow if you don’t fully pump the product. So if you used only half a pump, the other half of the pump that is left there oxidized. Not sure if it loses effectiveness because of the packaging. Overall I would still buy this product again. My under-eye felt hydrated and didn’t feel that heavy.

Rating: 4/5

  • Centella Asiatica Calming Mask

Decent but not a must-have. I’m pretty picky about masks and to impress me it needs to be Good. The Centella Asiatica Calming Mask was decent but not a must-get. I didn’t notice anything amazing. Probably would not repurchase.

Rating: 3/5

Notable Product to Try

I have yet to try the famous Beauty of Joseon sun relief Rice + Probiotics, but here is a review from my sister.

  • Relieif Sun: Rice + Probiotics:

Pretty Good. The Relief Sun: Sun +Probiotics Suncream is a pretty good Asian sunscreen if you are looking for a moisturizing and glowy sunscreen. It is an added bonus that it has both rice and probiotics which is great for healthy and brighter skin.

Which Beauty of Joseon Serum is the best?

  • My Favorite Serum

After trying the majority of Beauty of Joseon Serums, I have to say my favorite is the Deep Glow Serum aka the one with rice. The other serums I didn’t have much luck with them. For me, I just didn’t see any difference in my skin with the other serums. Whereas the Deep Glow Serum my skin looked brighter and clearer. If I had to say I would say the one serum that helped with my acne scars would be the Glow Deep Serum. Highly recommend.

  • Dry Skin

Which Beauty of Joseon serum is best for dry skin? Although I don’t have super dry skin, I would say the Beauty of Joseon Revive Serum would be the best bet.

I found the products with ginseng are more nourishing which could help with dry skin type. However, if you have super dry skin you might want an even more moisturizing toner. I highly recommend this hydrating toner or my favorite emulsion to help with your dry skin.

  • Acne Skin

Which Beauty of Joseon is the best for acne? If I had to pick, I would say the Glow Serum. It has propolis to help combat the bacteria in your skin and niacinamide to gently exfoliate your skin. However, I wouldn’t say that is my all-time favorite product for acne-prone skin.

My favorite toner for acne-prone skin would be the Round Lab Toner. If have done everything and nothing is working, my tip is to be gentle. Cut back everything and stick to the Round Lab toner for a bit and see if it helps. I also think what you eat has a large impact on your skin. If you can try to cut back on sugar, dairy, and carbs. I know it’s hard… but if you want clear skin, it’s something you need to do.

My Recommended products from Beauty of Joseon

    1. Deep Glow Serum: Rice + Arbutin Serum
    2. Relief Sun: Rice + Prebiotics Suncream
    3. Eye Serum: Ginseng + Retinal

My Skin Type: acne-prone, hyperpigmentation, fungal acne prone. Tends to like rice and arbutin

Overview:

Best product / Must have – Beauty of Joseon Deep Glow Serum

  • Price:  $10-15
  • Rating: 5.0
  • Repurchase? Yes, If you love I’m from Rice Toner, you will love this!
  • Skin types: All skin types
  • Made my fungal acne worst? Nope
  • Where to buy:  Amazon, Yesstyle

Conclusion: Best Beauty of Joseon Products

So after all that testing is Beauty of Joseon good? I would say yes. Overall I like products from the brand Beauty of Joseon.  Especially the Glow Deep Serum. Although they use more “natural” ingredients, I still find them effective. However, I do notice I tend to like their products when they have rice in them. I guess it really depends on what your skin likes and what stage of life you are in. If you are a bit older you might prefer the ginseng products. If you are acne-prone rice and calming products might be for you.
