A mask that I have seen floating around for a long time is the mask by WonJin Beauty Group called Water Bomb Mask. I know it is a pretty popular mask that quite a few celebrities use and it is so popular that I have seen quite a few fakes going around as well. It is known for its great hydration effects. Although my skin is more of an acne-prone-combination-skin will this mask still impress me?

Claims to

  • Supply the skin moisture
  • Brighten the skin
  • Lifts the skin
  • Reduce wrinkles
It has a 3 step system

STEP 1 – Vita-Moist Toner

The Vita Moist Toner is jammed packed with vitamins. Together the 8 vitamin complex works to help brighten dull skin and make skin appear smoother. It is a bit thicker than water, but I would be careful when opening the package. I always manage to spill the toner even when I  try to be careful. It has a slight “glue” scent,  but it is not too bothersome.

STEP 2 – Re: Effect Ampoule

The second step is the Re: Effect Ampoule. It contains many anti-aging ingredients like oleic acid, beta-carotene, and retinol. These ingredients will help strengthen the skin wall, tighten the skin, fills skin wrinkles and makes your skin glow. The ampoule is slightly thicker than the toner.  Not as tacky, but absorbs more easily than the toner.

STEP 3 – Water Bomb Mask

The third step is concentrated with 8 types of moisture concentrates, which includes hyaluronic acid, aloe vera extract, and bamboo water. These works together to maintain the skin elasticity while supplying it with moisture.

When I first pulled the mask out of the packet, I thought there must be at least 3 more parts to it since it felt incredibly light and thin. To my disbelief, the mask was only one part. Unraveling the mask revealed a super thin mask that almost looks gel-like. It is a high-quality mask with a nice fit to the face.

It is a 3-step mask system that includes a toner, an ampoule, and a mask.

What I thought

Removing the mask left my face looking a little glowy and hydrated. I don’t have severely dry skin so I can’t say if it will help if you have super dry skin but it did make my skin look glowy.

Most 3 step masks have a cream or cleanser included in the 3 step system but this mask doesn’t. I actually am quite happy that this mask doesn’t have a cleanser since I typically cleanse my face before picking out a mask. It makes sense that they have two layers of moisture before the actual mask. By layering moisturizing products before the mask prepares your skin for more moisturization. Making sure that no skin is left unmoisturized.

Conclusion

It is a high-quality mask jammed packed with tons of moisturizing ingredients to make your skin look hydrated and glowy. Although I don’t have particularly dry skin, I think it would be a good mask to try out if you’re feeling a little dehydrated.
