I have been hauling face mask recently. It might be because I have been wanting to try the Korean trend of wearing one mask a day. OR that I have been lying to myself and it is because I have been reading fiftyshadesofsnail recently. She has some favorites listed and Naruko snail mask was one of them.

She was raving about the mask and I totally agree with everything she says.

I usually see them at my local supermarket but I was never inclined to buy some.  I never heard anyone talk about them and sometimes I see them for $30 a box. That’s pretty pricey for a face mask especially for something I have never heard anything about.

What I think about it

When I first took the mask out of its packaging it was quite surprising. It was SUPER SLIMY. Like more slimy than Cosrx 92 muscin power liquid.  The muscin power liquid has a similar texture as well but the mask definitely looks thicker and slimier. For the Cosrx muscin power liquid the sliminess was not obvious unless you examined it very carefully. While the Naruko mask sliminess was glaringly obvious. Compared to the mask, Cosrx is more gel like. If you have never used snail products you probably don’t know what I am talking about.  If I had to explain it, I would describe the texture as white glue or natto if you know what it is. You know when you touch glue and a string of glue follows your finger? That is the texture of the essence in this mask. In the picture below you can see a thin clear string liquid following my finger, that’s what I mean by sliminess.

It has a nice fit to the face, and it doesn’t slip off your face while your walk around.

Results: Naruko snail mask

Just like that Fiddy said, it’s a wonderful mask. Although the mask’s sole purpose wasn’t to brighten, my skin brightened and looked glowy right after I used it. Watch out local supermarket next time I see it on sale I am SOOOO gonna stock up.

Tip: Try using a facial oil (my current favorites are Klairs Freshly Juiced Drops and Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil) under your mask. I saw a greater power in brightening when I used an oil underneath.
