3 Korean Moisturizers for Winter
It is winter time and you are probably wondering what is the best moisturizer for winter, especially for dry skin. When the season change, my skin definitely notices. This winter my skin is definitely feeling it. Luckily I was able to find 3 really good moisturizers for winter. In this post, I will go over my 3 best Korean moisturizers for winter.
First, let’s go over…
Why is Winter Bad for the Skin
There are many reasons why your skin feels drier when winter rolls around.
But the main culprits are:
- Heater – Can dry out the skin
- Harsh winds – Can irritate your skin
- Hot showers – Can also dry out your skin
Moisturize FAQ
How to Keep Skin Moisturized in winter naturally?
Unfortunately, moisturizing your skin naturally won’t work for everyone. If you are an anti-moisturizer and don’t want to apply anything, you could try not to expose your skin to hot air, cold wind, use a humidifier, and no hot showers. OR…. you can just use a moisturizer.
If you don’t want to use a moisturizer because you have oily skin and are scared of breaking out. I would still recommend something light like the Apieu cream, even Cosrx snail cream or a toner you can layer. No matter what, never skip moisturizer! The more you skip the more oily your skin becomes.
What is the Best Moisturizer for Winter Dry Skin
Look for a thicker moisturizer. It should feel moisturizing and hydrating. You might be wondering if you need a different moisturizer for winter for acne prone skin or combination skin. Even if you have oily skin you should still use moisturizer. You might want to opt for a slightly thicker but not too thick. You can even layer with my favorite toner! However, if you don’t find your skin feeling tight even after the season has changed, you can try to use your regular moisturizer and use a humidifier.
Which Lotion is Best for Face in Winter
Although you can use lotion for winter, lotions are typically thinner and probably not moisturizing enough for winter. If you have oily skin you can try out a lotion first, if your skin doesn’t feel tight and feel hydrated you can use a lotion.

PCALM Cato Cream
The reason why I tried the PCALM cream was because I loved the toner. The toner is HG status and probably always be. I was initially surprised about the PClam Cato Cream because I didn’t like PCALM Cato Cream at first. It kind of burned my skin. A bit contradicting, I know. It burns my skin but also heals it. However, it never irritated my skin. Strange I know but after you get over the initial hump, you will love this cream. I feel like the burning sensation is my semi-broken barrier. As I continued to use this cream I feel like it made my skin barrier stronger. Highly recommend it if you have a broken barrier.

When winter season is here you probably need to switch your moisturizers. My top 3 favorite Korean moisturizers for winter are Demar3, Pcalm and Aestura. All three are wonderful Korean moisturizers for winter.
No matter what you should moisturize your skin regardless of your skintype. If have oily or acne prone you might opt for something lighter, whereas if you have a drier skin type, something thicker.
No matter what don’t skip a moisturizer. You don’t need a super fancy moisturizer just one that works and is something you can always rely on.
