Building a Korean Skincare Routine
I can’t believe I have yet to write about building a starter Korean skincare routine, which is crazy! If you follow my blog you will probably see some well loved products again. But…If you are new to skincare, building a Korean skincare routine can be understandably overwhelming. So many products are being released every day! So in this post, I will break down what Korean skincare to buy, if Korean skincare is better, my favorite Korean product, and a routine for your skin type.
Is Korean Skincare Better
You might have a few questions like: Is Korean skincare products better? Is there even a difference between Korean skincare vs western skincare? Is Korean skincare even good? Maybe even, how Korean skincare? The key difference between Asian skincare and western skincare is the philosophy. Korean skincare is generally more gentle and more innovative.
Koreans care A LOT about Skincare
Koreans tend to have more sensitive skin. That is why their skincare is more gentle and they try to minimize irritation. Less irritation equals healthier and youthful skin for longer.
Also since Koreans care a lot about skincare, the beauty industry is always trying new and interesting, innovative ingredients.
So is Korean skincare better than American? In short, Yes. Korean skincare is better! For me anyways. Western skincare opts for the highest percentage for the fastest result. But…this isn’t always a good solution as it could hurt/age your skin in the long run.
In conclusion: If you have sensitive skin, have a broken skin barrier, or dealing with acne and nothing you tried is working for you. You might want to consider Korean Skincare!
Are Korean Skincare Products Safe
If anything, Korean skincare products are probably safer than American skin care. Korean skincare is always very gentle. While American skincare products can have a vast range. American/western skincare can be super drying, harsh and irritating like the Drunk Elephant Peel, and don’t even mention Clean and Clear products.
Can Korean Skincare Help Acne
If you are asking can Korean skincare help acne? If you have acne-prone skin and you have tried everything under the sun, Korean skincare might be worth checking out. Korean skincare is generally very gentle. Korean products usually help soothe and help build a stronger skin barrier. So if you have tried really strong/high percentage products and nothing is working, I highly recommend trying Korean skincare, esp if you have acne.
Why Korean Skincare is the Best
Since Korean skincare is gentler and more innovative they tend to create amazing products, especially for anyone with sensitive or acne-prone skin. And since… Koreans are very into skincare the skincare industry is very competitive meaning only the best products get noticed.
