Empties # 4: The Good, Bad and Okays. What would I repurchase?

I have once again accumulated quite a few empties. Here is a list of things I finished and a mini review for each item. Will they be good, bad, or just okay? Read below to find out which ones I would repurchase again.

The Ordinary Buffet

I once again used up another bottle of Buffet from The Ordinary.  As I mentioned in the other post, I didn’t see any difference but I will continue to use it for prevention. It is never too early.

Would I repurchase? It was okay but yes I will continue to repurchase

Sunday Riley Martin Mattifying Melting Water-Gel Toner

I got this from a Sunday Riley value set. I thought like was okay, I didn’t see any difference in my acne but there is one thing I really didn’t like about it. The SMELL was terrible. It is hard to describe the scent, kind of herbally yet sweet, just really off-putting.

Would I repurchase? No, esp with the smell

Cosrx Natural BHA skin Returning A-sol

Somehow in this empties, I  accumulated two bottles of Cosrx Natural BHA Skin Returning A-Sol. That my friend,  probably explains it all. It is my holy grail especially for balancing my acne prone skin. Must buy for acne-prone skin. I already feel so incomplete without it.

Would I repurchase? A definite yes

Origins High-Potency Night A mins

I usually skip moisturizer, so it took a really long time to use up the Origins High-Potency Night A Mins. The main reasons why I bought this moisturizer was because it’s oil-free and the brightening effects…..but I honestly didn’t see any difference in brightening nor was it very hydrating.

Would I repurchase? No

Aesop Parsley Seed Mask

I would describe the Aesop Parsley Seed Mask as a gentle clay mask. It wasn’t too intense like some clay masks. BUT  it is too expensive to repurchase, not worth it. You can probably find a better option at a better price. Although the package is pretty, it was hard to use up the mask towards the end.

Would I repurchase? No

The Ordinary Latic Acid 10% + HA 2%

I wish that I still have this product right now, currently, I have the Ordinary’s Latic Acid 5% one and it is not cutting it. The results aren’t as obvious compared to the 10% one.

Would I repurchase? Yes

Cosrx Ultimate Nourishing Rice Overnight Spa Mask

I had this mask for so long, you can probably tell by the packaging. I had to throw it away because it started to smell weird and turned yellow. Before it went bad, I quite like the mask. This mask is for gradual brightening, you won’t see the dramatic brightening effect right away.

Would I repurchase? Yes

Secret Key Starting Treatment Essence -Rose Edition

I love this toner, I remember the first time using this toner my skin was so glowy and healthy when I woke up. My new HG.

Would I repurchase? A super yes

Muji Light Toning Water High moisture

I picked this up when I was in Singapore mostly because it was so hot there that my skin became a desert.  So much so that my skin looked and felt like alligator skin. Yea I know sounds gross. Never knew my skin could be so dry either. I was hoping this product would help renourish and hydrate it especially with the name high moisture toning water. Yet, after using it, my skin was still dry.

Would I repurchase? No

Pixi Glow Tonic

I remember when Pixi Glow Tonic was the coveted toner, but it wasn’t available in North America yet and was only available in Europe.  It was hyped up a lot. I had really high expectations for it….but I really was a bit disappointed. I much rather prefer The Ordinary Glycolic Acid Toning Solution. The Pixi Glow Tonic was more gentle, and the results were more gradual. If you want to start trying out exfoliators, this would be good to try out.

Would I repurchase? No

Caudalie Divine Oil

This is a LIFESAVER! When I had super dry hands, I would use this oil with cotton gloves and I would wake up with less irritated and hydrated hands. Recommend if you have dry skin.

Would I repurchase? Yes

Derma E Overnight Peel with Alpha Hydroxy Acid

With the name Overnight Peel, I was expecting great results but it was just average. I tried using it on my face but I didn’t see any results and I even tried on scars on my legs and I barely noticed a difference.

Would I repurchase? No

Neogen Real Cica Pad

The Neogen Real Cica Pads were decent pads, the pads were good quality. Even when you give the pads a tug, it doesn’t lose its shape.  Even when you scrub really hard the embroidery stays in place. Compared to other face pads it is more on the gentler side, it is good for sensitive skin. For me, personally, I prefer something a little more intense.

Would I repurchase? No

May Coop Raw Sauce

I remember this was a super hyped product at one point, but I just couldn’t truly love it because of the alcohol content. It felt a little drying on my skin.

Would I repurchase? No

CeraVe Facial Moisturizer

It was an okay moisturizer, light and unscented. Like I mentioned earlier I don’t tend to like moisturizers, mostly because it clogs my pores but I didn’t find CeraVe Facial Moisturizer moisturizing either.

Would I repurchase? No

The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter

I quite like this cleansing butter from The Body Shop, it’s a good drugstore (not really drugstore, but kind of)  option esp a good deal if there is a deal going on. It is a cleansing balm that melts with the warmth of your fingers. I wouldn’t use this as your sole cleansing product though. I like to use this as the first cleanser to remove my makeup. I would still prefer to use a micellar water to remove waterproof mascara.

Would I repurchase? No

Dr. Jart – Dermaclear Micro milk Peel

I initially bought this peel because of all the rave review on Sephora. I bought this mainly for the little bumps on my forehead that just never seem to budge. Sadly it didn’t get rid of my acne. But it did make my skin quite soft though.

Would I repurchase? Its okay, if you want soft skin try this out but I won’t be repurchasing this.

The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil

Another one of my favorite Body Shop product. The cleansing oil doesn’t remove makeup super easily like some Asian cleansing oils but I like that it emulsifies easily. I would def buy if it’s on sale.

Would I repurchase? Yes

The Body Shop Seaweed Oil-Balancing Clay Mask

The Body Shop’s Seaweed Oil-Balancing Clay mask is a pretty intense clay mask. It can dry out your skin if you leave it for too long.  Be careful though, not only can it dry out your skin the mask dries up easily since it’s in a jar format. Make sure you use it up quickly or close the jar tightly. Since I have many other face masks to use up ….I wouldn’t repurchase.

Cosrx Salicylic Acid Daily Gentle Cleanser

This is one Cosrx product I do not like at all. So many people rave about Cosrx cleansers, but this one is a def pass. I didn’t mind that it didn’t really help with my acne, but the main reason why I didn’t like it was because it stung my eyes! Definitely, a no go, especially when you have acne on the forehead like I do.

Would I repurchase? No

Neogen Bio Peel Gentle Gauze Peeling wine

I quite like these pads. These pads aren’t as durable as the Neogen Real Cica Pads but the exfoliating side with the added benefit of brightening is why I like these pads so much.

Would I repurchase? Yes

Nursery Yuzu Makeup & UV Cleansing Gel

The Nursery Yuzu Makeup & UV Cleansing Ge smells so refreshing yet it is so gentle on the skin. I wouldn’t recommend it to take off your waterproof makeup though, especially if you wear any waterproof mascara.

Would I repurchase? Yes, but for only gentle cleansing like in the morning.
