The GOOD, The OKAYS and The MEHS

Cleanser/ Makeup Removers

1. Rohto HADALABO Gokujun Cleansing Oil USD $20

Would I buy again? Yes. I love the Hada Labo cleansing oil, it has become one of my favorite cleansing oils. If you want to save some money I recommend that you to buy the refill as I did. It is light-weight, doesn’t sting your eye, very effective and emulsifies quickly. What else can you ask for? GOOD

2. Hada Labo es Cleansing Liquid USD $15

Would I buy again? No. Wow. Although the Hada Labo Es Cleansing liquid is also made by Hada Labo, this cleansing oil pales in comparison. The strange thing is that this line from Hada Labo is supposed to be more gentle, yet the Hada Labo Es Cleansing liquid stings my eyes. Since I use cleansing oils around my eye, this is a deal breaker. Probably the worst thing for a cleansing oil. Will not recommend. MEH

3. The body shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil Makeup Remover USD $19

Would I buy again? Yes. I have used up another bottle of The Body Shop Cleansing Oil. It is an easy cleansing oil that is easy to get a hold of when you don’t live in Asia. It is quite affordable, especially when you get it at buy 3 get 3 deal. Compared to the Hada Labo Cleansing oil, it does have a slightly thicker texture. If you prefer a richer or more luxurious feeling cleaning oil, this is a good option. It’s not as effective as the Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Cleansing oil, but it is still a great makeup remover. It doesn’t sting your eyes and emulsifies super easily. GOOD

4. Caudalie INSTANT FOAMING CLEANSER USD $14 – $28

Would I buy again? Yes. The Caudalie instant foaming cleansing is a nice simple cleanser that isn’t drying. Nice smell, no complaints. GOOD

5. SQS No!Kosuri-Care-Pore Care by Washing

Would I buy again? Maybe. Clay-based cleanser. Simple and was nice to use. Probably won’t buy again because I have too many cleansers to use up. OKAY/GOOD

Face cream

6. Bobbi Brown Hydrating cream USD $60

Would I buy again? No. The Bobbi Brown Face Cream is a nice, light, yet hydrating lotion for the face. I didn’t really like the scent. It was refreshing yet medicinal? I don’t know how to describe the scent. :/ Probably won’t buy again due to the scent and the price tag. OKAY

7. Himalaya Herbals clear complexion whitening day cream USD $15

Would I buy again? No. I bought the Himalaya Herbals Face Cream because one of the sales ladies recommended it for my freckles in Hong Kong. I didn’t really like the smell. Kind of reminds me of old lady, like those classic goat cream smell. I didn’t see a difference in my freckles either. Don’t recommend. MEH

8. Vichy Normaderm Corrective Anti-Acne Care USD $25

Would I buy again? Yes. I quite like the Vichy Normaderm cream for my acne. It’s effective yet gentle. However, I found it is a bit drying, especially if I use it every day. I like to alternate the days when I use it. You might not find it drying since my skin tends to dry out easily. GOOD

Face Toner

10. Ole Henrickson Balancing Force Oil Control Toner USD $28

Would I buy again? No. The Ole Henrickson Balancing Force Oil Control Toner is a strong toner. Maybe a little too strong for my skin. I probably won’t buy again. OKAY

11. Elizavecca Centella Asiatica USD $20

Would I buy again? No. I bought the Elizavecca Centella Toner because of my love for Centella. Although I love my Cosrx Centella blemish balm, this Centella product I didn’t see a difference after using it. Probably won’t buy again. OKAY

Face treatment

12. DRUNK ELEPHANT C-Tango Vitamin C Eye Cream USD $64

Would I buy again? No. I know many people love this eye cream but I didn’t really see a difference, and it is quite expensive. It is a lightweight eye cream but I probably won’t buy again. OKAY

13. The Face Shop White Seed Brightening Toner USD $24

Would I buy again? No. I remember reading a post about someone seeing a dramatic difference after using The Face Shop Brightening Toner. I, on the other hand, didn’t see much of a difference. It does have a nice smell though. Probably won’t buy again. OKAY

Check out I’m From Rice Toner! My favorite brighter right now. Or my other favorite brightening products

14. The ordinary The buffet $14.80

Would I buy again? Yes. Another regular empty that you probably seen before. I think I noticed a difference compared to when I don’t use The Ordinary The Buffet. My forehead wrinkles aren’t as obvious when I scrunch my face, which I do a lot. I will buy again to prevent aging. GOOD

15. Cosrx centella Blemish Balm USD $20

Would I buy again? Yes. you probably have seen this in my other empties posts{1}{2}{3}{4}{5}. Probably my 3rd empty. My favorite acne scar treatment. A bit thick but I like to use it at night when I go to sleep, so it doesn’t really matter.  A+. GOOD

16. Skin Food Rice Mask Wash Off USD $12

Would I buy again? Yes. I don’t know about you but I much prefer a rinse-off mask than a sheet mask. A sheet mask sometimes falls off and just isn’t as convenient. A rinse-off mask usually stays put and this particular mask contains rice and I love rice! That is why I love the Skin Food Rice Mask Off Mask. It has rice and has a nice brightening effect. No complaints. GOOD

Face sunscreen

17. La Roche Posay Anthelios ultra-fluid lotion SPF 50 USD $30

Would I buy again? No. Not one of my favorite sunscreen. This sunscreen leaves a film on the face, that doesn’t really disappear. I think it was formulated to leave a matte feeling, but to me, it felt chalky. Skip. OKAY/MEH

19. Innisfree sunscreen $15

Would I buy again? Yes. There are many sunscreen formulations from the Innisfree, my favorite formulation is the dry skin formulation. It is hydrating and somehow has less white cast compared to their other formulations. GOOD

20. Nivea All Purpose Original Moisturizing Crème $10

Would I buy again? Yes. My sister and I love the Nivea Creme. It is thick and rich, quite luxurious feeling. Great for those winter months, would buy again. GOOD

21. The Ordinary hand chemistry $20

Would I buy again? No. This hand cream from The Ordinary is probably a favorite among many. I am very picky when it comes it picking hand creams and you can see that in the number of hand creams I have tried. My favorite hand cream can’t just be hydrating, it has to help with my eczema hands that are constantly being washed. With that being said The Ordinary’s Hand Chemistry is a lightweight formula, that isn’t greasy. It didn’t help with my eczema hands though. Wouldn’t buy again. OKAY

23. Phytokeratine Repairing thermal protectant spray USD $24
