Best Korean skincare for sensitive skin or acne prone
Regardless of what type of skin type I am, I typically look for products that are gentle but also calming as well.
Being gentle helps with your skin in the long run. That way you are not irritating your skin and aging it. Calming is also great because as we go about our day we typically experience harsh weather or just irritation from the not-ideal environment. By using calming ingredients you get all your bases covered.
Want to look for ingredients:
That are great for calming and can soothe irritated skin:
-
- Madecassoside
- Centella
- Mugwort
If you have sensitive skin, I would highly recommend skincare products that contain mugwort.
Im from Mugwort Toner
I’m from Mugwort is one of my favorite toners when my skin is feeling sensitive. It is pricey but whatever is in it just calms my skin down. A great one-ingredient toner that greatly calms irritated skin.
-
- Calms
- Soothe
- One ingredient
- Pricey
Great for: Sensitive, acne prone, all skin types
If want to try other calming products, people also recommend the skin lab cream. It might be worth checking that cream out.
Best Korean Skincare for Acne prone skin
For a Korean acne skin care routine, I highly recommend you follow a routine similar to sensitive skin. If you have bad acne, you probably have lots of irritated open wounds. By switching to gentler products you minimize the further irritation caused by your skincare.
I would recommend products from Some By Mi, Round Lab, Hatomugi, Rovectin
Toners:
-
- Some By Mi: A gentle toner that gently exfoliates your face as well as hydrates it. I wouldn’t say its a miracle product but it helps you be gentle on your skin.
- Round Lab: If you don’t know what is wrong with your skin I highly recommend this toner, help balances everything and bring it back to normal
- Hatomugi: A great simple toner with minimal ingredients. Great when you don’t know which ingredient is making your skin react. You can layer a ton and your skin will be hydrated.
Also great toners but on the pricier side
-
- I’m from Mugwort: a very simple toner that calms your skin. If your skin is angry and needs some calming I’m from mugwort is your answer.
- P. Calm line: Something about this brand really calms everything down and gets my skin back to normal. –
- However, I found that it stung my skin initially. Although it stung my skin, I did not find it irritating or caused more ance. If anything I think it helps sealed all the cracks or my slightly broken barrier
