Lip tints.  To me lip tints have always been one of those are products that I can’t help collecting. I guess my addiction all started way back when the only lips tints available was Benefit’s Benetint and Tony Moly’s original red tint ( the one in the circle glass jar). I still can not believe how many different types of tints are in the market now, ranging from colours from oranges, pinks and reds even the types of formula range widely. It also doesn’t help that I have been watching lots of Korean dramas lately and I just can’t help but stare at lips wondering what they are wearing. Lip tints are just soo effortless, they are natural looking but give you lips enough colour so you look alive and they don’t require much maintenance. So that’s why I went on an impulse and purchased several lip tints to try out.

I really wanted to repurchase Etude House Color Pop Lip Tints since it gave that natural colour to your lips without being too bold. Sadly, they are out of stock on their online site and haven’t restocked for a long time. I also could not  find it on eBay either. I am assuming that they discontinued it. =(

I instead did a quick research on some tints and bought Peripera Peri’s Orange Milky Peach, Peripera Peri’s Orange Juice Tint and The Saem Saemmul Aqua Tint in red. I never thought I would like orange tints but ever since I bought one of Etude House Colour pop tints I have changed my mind about orange tints. One of the main reason why I bought these orange tints was because I was hoping for a tint similar to Etude House Color Pop tint. The tint was a milky kind and gave the look of natural looking lips. Although, they are orange I wouldn’t say they are the same colour. IMG_4272

Peripera Peri’s Milk Tint in Milky Peach has a creamy texture while the water tint is more watery. The milk tint isn’t as orange as the Water tint in Orange Juice but they are both quite wearable. The milk tint is more of a pinky orange whereas the water tint is straight orange.  I find that with the water tint you are able to build the colour and create a bolder look while the milk tint is harder to build up the colour, but it gives more of a natural look. Although I do like these tints, I have to say the taste of the product is a bit chemically and a bit off putting. I definitely I can’t say I really look forward putting  these tints on. The Saem Saemmul Aqua tint on the other hand, is the typical red tint, that is buildable and isn’t as chemically tasting as the Periera Peri’s tints. However, you get a hint of cherry snd I do find that it is sheerer than other red tints, so it  is easier to build the gradient lip look. Although I do like these tints, I wouldn’t say these are my favourite tints. I definitely preferred Etude House colour pop one much more.final look

As you can see all these tints are pretty natural and are perfect for everyday use. The pictures did wash a bit of the colour out but I did take a picture with the Peripera Peri’s Milky Peach on today with better lighting. Even though you would think an orange tint would be too bright on the lips, it is quite natural.

Would I repurchase again? Probably not, since there are lots of other options out there. However, they are a good option if you are starting out with lips stains and want something natural.
