Thoughts/ Review

P.Calm Light Active Toner Review

A good gentle toner.

Do I love it? It’s okay… but I’m on the fence.

I love it because it is a lightweight toner that has a creamy texture. At first, when I first applied it felt slightly tacky but then dried and made my skin super soft.

  • For Oily Skin

Would it be hydrating enough for super dry skin? No. You probably would need to layer several layers to moisturize your skin if you have super dry flakey skin. I would follow it up with a moisturizer especially if you have dry skin. However, if you have oily skin this would be perfect for you. Super lightweight and dries fast.

  • Slight Brightness

A slight glow. My skin looked slightly brighter and with a slight glow. After almost finishing a whole bottle of the Light Active Toner, I don’t think I saw a major difference in my freckles and acne scars. However, it does brighten your skin and give it a slight glow.

  • Niacinamide Lovers

I thought this toner was just okay. However, it might be because niacinamide is not my favorite ingredient. I just don’t see any major difference when I use any products with niacinamide. So if Niamincide is an ingredient that tends to brighten your skin, it might work better for you.

So basically:

    • Okay toner, don’t expect instant results
    • The toner gives a slight brightness and glow
    • Might not lighten your freckles and acne scars

My Favorite Brightening Products

If your skin doesn’t react well with niacinamide maybe you will like the products my skin tends to like. My skin loves rice and certain vitamin C. Here are my favorite brightening products:

  • I’m from rice Toner

This is probably no surprise, I love I’m from Rice Toner. I have made several posts to tell you guys how much I love I’m from Rice Toner. It is lightweight but also very brightening. Every time I re-purchase it again I always notice my skin brighter. Highly recommend.

  • Klairs Vitamin C Serum

As I get older the harder for me to see any results from using vitamin c. However, every time I run out of the Klairs vitamin c I get pretty sad and want to repurchase it immediately. This is the only gentle vitamin c serum that helps brighten my skin and doesn’t oxidize. I always hate when I am forced to quickly use up a vitamin c before it oxidizes. But the Klairs vitamin c serum is always stable and doesn’t turn orange. Amazing brightening serum. Highly recommend!

Conclusion – P.Calm Light Active Toner Review

Would I repurchase? Maybe. The P.calm Light Active Toner is a gentle toner that helps exfoliate and gently brighten your skin for a slight glow. I don’t see dramatic effects in my freckles or my acne scars but I see a slight glow and brightness.

I would recommend this toner if you have sensitive and acne-prone skin and just need something gentle, and want something slightly brightening.

When we have acne-prone skin, we probably want instant effects but sometimes that ruins our skin. P. Calm’s gentle approach is slower but once you are gentle to your skin it will heal and become healthy.
