Cosrx Snail: Cosrx Advanced Snail Radiance Dual Essence Review

We all know the cult favorite OG Cosrx Snail Mucin Essence. One of the holy grail for many. For me, I like the OG Cosrx Snail Mucin Filtrate but the problem was that was not very hydrating. So when I saw that they had a serum that combines the snail mucin with some sort of hydration I knew I had to try. In this post, will be a Cosrx Snail Radiance Dual Essence Review and I compare if it’s better than the OG Cosrx Snail Mucin Essence.

Post Summary – Cosrx Snail Radiance Dual Essence:

Thoughts/ Review

Cosrx Advance Snail Radiance Dual Essence Review

The OG Cosrx Snail Mucin Essence always left me wanting more. Although I did appreciate the OG Cosrx Snail Mucin Essence for its acne scar healing properties but it wasn’t the most hydrating product.

The Cosrx Advanced Snail Mucin Radiance Essence solves this problem and makes it more hydrating.

However, that being said I do not think I love it. I just don’t reach for it.

Temporary Hydration and Glow

For me, I do not have bad acne skin. I would get a pimple here or there and I would like to use it to heal my acne scars and help calm my irritated skin. But… it doesn’t calm my skin.

Even though they added additional ingredients, it feels like it is an essence with only temporary hydration.

It feels like the type of serum that gives your skin that glow for 5 min but doesn’t actually hydrate your skin without improving your skin, the Cosrx Snail Mucin Essence feels like that.

Niacinamide Lovers Only

This isn’t that surprising as niacinamide usually does not affect my skin

However, if your skin usually reacts well with niacinamide, and you have acne-prone skin this toner might be worth trying out. But if you have skin that has zero to little effects from niacinamide I would say don’t expect too much. It might be just a little better compared to the OG snail mucin but not by much.

If you want to buy this product to help calm your skin, I would say skip. I thought this would calm my irritated and angry skin but it didn’t calm it down at all. It kind of just sat on my skin.

PS. One thing that bothers me is that they added glutathione to the product. But it’s on the bottom! Which means it probably has very little effect.

So basically:

    • Okay serum, is slightly better than OG Snail Mucin Essence
    • Not effective compared to other calming serums
    • More hydrating than OG Cosrx SnailSerum but only slightly

Snail Toner Comparison:

Cosrx Radiance Snail Dual Essence vs Cosrx 96 Snail Mucin

If I had to choose between the Cosrx Radiance Snail Dual Essence and the OG Cosrx Snail Mucin I would choose choose the OG Snail Mucin. Mainly because the Radiance Snail Essence isn’t that hydrating and I would rather just use my own moisturizer with my preferred active ingredient. Plus the OG Cosrx Snail Mucin is much more cheaper.

Cosrx Snail Cream vs Cosrx Snail Dual Essence

If I had to choose between the Cosrx Snail 92 Cream or the Cosrx Radiance Snail Dual Essence I would probably choose the snail cream. I didn’t find the Snail Dual Essence made my skin any brighter or hydrating. So I would opt for the product with more snail filtrate. I feel this will depend on whether your skin likes niacinamide or not. I fall in the latter.

My favorite Snail Product: Not Cosrx

Peach Slices Snail Toner vs Cosrx Snail Dual Essence

If I had to choose between the Cosrx Snail Dual Essence or even the OG Cosrx Snail Mucin and the Peach Slices Snail Toner, I would 100% choose the Peach Slices Snail Toner. I love Cosrx Snail toner for the wound healing properties but I always felt like it was not hydrating enough, or did enough. The Peach Slices Snail Toner solves this problem by adding Cicia to the snail serum. The Peach Slices Snail Toner improved my skin texture and calmed my skin that the OG Cosrx never could.

Overview:

Cosrx Advance Snail Dual Essence

  • Price:  $25
  • Rating: 3.5
  • Repurchase? No, I prefer other toners for my acne
  • Skin types: All skin types
  • Made my fungal acne worst? Nope, but it’s not fungal acne safe.
  • Where to buy:  YesStyle, Amazon

Conclusion – Cosrx Advance Snail Dual Essence Review

Would I buy it again? No. I didn’t see a big difference compared to the OG Cosrx Snail Mucin Filtrate. The Cosrx Advanced Snail Mucin Radiance Dual Essence is a bit more pricy to see little difference. However, this might not be the case if your skin loves niacinamide. If niacinamide has zero effects on you like me, it might not be worth buying this product.

I prefer the Peach Slices Snail Rescue Toner, which has healing properties and calming properties.

However, if you want a more calming product for your acne-prone sensitive skin, I highly recommend checking out Im from Mugwort toner. One of the best calming and hydrating products. It is a bit pricey but it is worth it.
