SNP Diamond Brightening Ampoule Mask Review

People usually say diamonds are a girl’s best friend but do diamonds actually belong in your beauty products? I mean…Sure, they sound luxurious and fancy but do they actually do anything for your skin? OR are diamonds just added into your skincare just to sound fancy? I will be testing a diamond mask called SNP Diamond Brightening Ampoule Mask to see if diamonds are effective for the skin.

Upon my research, instead of using large diamonds in your skincare they use nanodiamond instead. By making the diamonds nano size it allows the diamond to be absorbed into the skin while not be able to scratch your skin.

What do diamonds do?

I found one research paper that explained how diamonds can benefit your skin. According to the scientific journal diamonds:

Have unique absorption capabilities -it acts as a carrier. What this means is that it can help bring an active ingredient into the skin with it. Kind of like a friend helping you get into a party, without them it would be harder for you get in or you might be stuck outside. By acting as a carrier it allows the active ingredient to penetrate deeper into the skin. By allowing all the active ingredient to penetrate easier it allows the active ingredients to work the max efficiency

Keep you hydrated– Diamonds have functional groups that make strong bonds with water to keep your skin hydrated while preventing aging

-If diamonds are incorporated into antibiotics  and lotions it can decrease the healing time for damages skin like sunburns and scar tissues

The mask: SNP brightening ampoule mask

With all the diamond talk aside, let’s talk about the mask we will be testing out. The SNP Diamond Brightening Ampoule Mask has been on the market for quite some time. I think it is a fairly popular mask but I haven’t tried much from the brand SNP {only the vital jelly mask }.

The SNP Diamond Brightening Ampoule Mask claims to provide moisture while brightening the skin at the same time.

It contains hyaluronic acid (1000mg) to moisturize the skin and diamond powder(0.3mg)to brighten the skin, remove dead skin cells, and impurities for softer, clear, brighter skin. It also contains niacinamide to help brighten the skin.

What the mask looks like

SNP Diamond Brightening Ampoule Mask Review mask closer view

It’s an average mask, not a super high-quality mask but it does the job. The mask is a little big, and the holes for your eyes and nose are little wide as well, but nothing to complain about. It also has a nice citrus/ grapefruit smell as well, beware if you don’t like scented products.

What I thought of SNP Diamond Brightening Ampoule Mask

Overall, it is a normal mask. I quite like that the SNP Diamond Brightening Ampoule Mask has hints of grapefruit, it is quite relaxing and refreshing. Although the mask sounds fancy with the addition of diamonds, I don’t think I was that impressed with the results. I am pretty dark and dry due to the summer weather, yet the results were not very obvious. The mask made my skin hydrated but I think this mask might the type of mask that you need to keep on using it to see the results.

Results

I didn’t see any obvious differences, do you? It might be the lighting but the after picture you can see my skin looks a bit healthier with more color.

Would I buy SNP Diamond Brightening Ampoule Mask again?

Probably not, the SNP Diamond Brightening Ampoule Mask was pretty average. It does have a refreshing grapefruit scent and hydrates your skin but nothing to run out to buy.
