Fungal Acne Safe Products I Regret Buying

Sometimes we think that any fungal acne-safe product we use will be good enough. Because we all know that even finding one fungal acne safe product can be quite hard. If you looking for more fungal acne safe products, I have a whole list of fungal acne-safe resources [here] but in this post, I review the fungal acne products I regret buying.

What Is Fungal Acne?

If you don’t know what fungal acne is, it is basically when there your hair follicles become inflamed by a bacteria or fungus. Do not worry though, it is normal. We have lots of bacteria living on our skin. However, the problem comes in when it overgrows. AKA overeats. This happens when you use certain products that these bacteria like, and they fed on that product and because they are well-nourished they will overgrow.

One dead giveaway if you have fungal acne, is the reaction when you use a heavy oil. Whenever I use a slightly thicker oil, like argan oil, or rosehip oil my skin goes crazy and I get tiny skin-like acne bumps.

Will All Fungal Acne Safe Products Work For Me?

Let’s get this straight, some people are more sensitive to certain ingredients than others. Some might be highly sensitive and can’t even use glycerin. Some can use fermented products with some sort of bacteria and still be okay. You have to test out what whats for you.

Are all fungal acne products good?

Nope. If you have fungal acne, you are limited to a much narrower pool of products. In general, it will be harder to find products for dry skin. Most fungal acne safe products are not that heavy or deeply moisturizing. If you are looking for a moisturizer that works, check out my review where I test many fungal acne safe moisturizers and see which one is the best.

The 4 Fungal Acne Safe Products That Didn’t work

Not all fungal can safe products will be your next HG product, and sadly these aren’t mine. I will give a quick review on why they didn’t work out and a possible product you might like better.

1. Haruharu Black Rice Toner fragrance-free Review

The Haruharu Black Rice Toner is one product I had very high expectations of. I heard many people raving about this toner. Rumor was that the Harhuharu toner was more than just a hyaluronic acid. Sadly, that was all it was. A Hyaluronic acid. Nothing more nothing less. I didn’t see much of a huge difference after using it, and probably wouldn’t buy it again.

If you want something hydrating, I would much rather reach for my Hatomugi skin conditioner. It comes in a huge bottle, so it is very affordable. It is very water-like but quite simple. You can layer it many times and you can feel the hydration. Another one of my all-time favorites is the Round lab Dokdo toner. It is one of the staple toners that I can rely on if my skin is out of balance and needs TLC. Highly recommend the round lab Dokdo toner.

2. Dr Ceuracle Kombucha Toner Review

The Dr. Ceuracle Kombucha Toner is another toner that I have been quite disappointed by. I had very high expectations of it since I heard many good things about it. Sadly it did not live up to my expectations. The Dr. Ceuracle kombucha toner is not a very hydrating toner. Instead of hydrating the skin, it forms a layer of oil on top of your skin. It might work for oily skin types but definitely not dry skin types. I would only recommend it if you have super oily skin and only need a bit of light hydration.

If you want a fermented product rather than using the Dr. Ceuarcle toner that doesn’t hydrate, why not use my current favorite toner, Numbuzin no 3 Toner? It is hydrating, and it helped my pores look smaller too!

3. Dr Ceuracle Propolis Ampoule Review

Another one of those products that I heard a lot about is the Dr. Ceuracle propolis ampoule. I have realized that most propolis products just don’t work for me. Propolis is a great product to use when you have fungal acne but is that all I get? I want glowy honey skin but this just didn’t give me that. Instead, the serum doesn’t give a glow at all. the glow get absorbs right away without ever making my skin look glowy.

The only glowy product that made my skin glow is the numbuzin toner. It made my skin glow and helped make my pores look smaller.

4. Elizavecca Aqua Hyaluronic Acid Water Drop Cream Review

If you want a hydrating moisturizer Elizavecca drop cream is not for you. Elizavecca is a super light moisturizer. It almost feels like water. Sadly with that being said, I don’t have oily skin. I would say I have pretty normal skin and this did not hydrate it at all. This product also has a “goat cream” smell. If you smelled a goat cream before, you probably know what I mean. It is a very strong smell, not my favorite smell.

If you want a very hydrating cream I highly recommend the Innisfree orchid cream. This cream is thicker than most fungal acne safe products and super moisturizing as well.

Conclusion

Not all fungal acne safe products will be your new go-to products but that’s okay. There will be products you will like and products you don’t like. And these products are just not for me. If these products are your HG that’s okay too, we all have different skin that reacts differently.
