That was why I thought I should buy and review Dr. Ceuracle Kombucha Essence. I probably don’t need any more toners but I kept hearing people raving about the Dr. Ceuracle Kombucha Essence. It also didn’t help that I kept hearing that it was very similar to the Laneige Cream Skin [read review]. So in this post, I will review the Dr. Ceuracle Vegan Kombucha Tea Essence and compare it to the Laneige cream skin.

Texture

The essence appears creamy and white. It is quite thin in texture, yet when applied to the skin it feels like an oil.

My thoughts – Dr. Ceuracle Vegan Kombucha Tea Essence Review

Do I love it? It is good but I don’t know if I love it. Immediately upon applying it, it leaves my skin feeling super soft and moisturized, yet my skin doesn’t feel hydrated. Sounds a bit contradicting right?

It is supposed to be an essence, so it should be watery, and hydrating yet rebalance the skin. It is indeed watery but I feel like the product sits on top of the skin and doesn’t really hydrate the skin. Kind of like an oil. It creates this layer that seals in the moisture but doesn’t hydrate the skin itself.

If you have dry skin, I don’t think this is not the product for you. When I had dry skin, I used this in hopes it would help relieve my dry skin, sadly it didn’t really help.

Dr. Ceuracle Vegan Kombucha Tea Essence is probably more geared towards people who have oily skin. It provides only a slight bit of hydration, and the main function is to create a seal that locks in moisture.

Laneige cream skin vs Dr. Ceuracle Vegan Kombucha Tea Essence?

Is the Dr. Ceuracle Kombucha Tea Essence a dupe for the cream skin? Not really. When I used the Laneige cream skin, my skin feel more hydrated and moisturized as if you applied a moisturizer. The  Laneige cream skin is better suited for drier skin while Dr. Ceuracle Vegan Kombucha Tea Essence is better for oily skin.

However, I wouldn’t recommend either if you have super dry skin. Although the Laneige cream skin is more hydrating and moisturizing it still isn’t hydrating enough for super dry skin types. You would probably have to layer many layers in order to feel hydrated, and the Laneige cream skin isn’t cheap.

Does Dr. Ceuracle Vegan Kombucha Tea Essence create a layer like Laneige cream skin? Somewhat but not really. The Kombucha Tea Essence creates like thin layer that makes your skin feel soft. Whereas the Laneige Cream Skin creates this layer that feels as if you applied a cream. The Dr. Ceuracle is the sister of the Laneige Cream Skin, it created a  thinner layer of moisturizer and is less hydrating.

Overview:

  • Price: ~ $35
  • Rating: 3/5 – Okay but I didn’t find it special
  • Repurchase? : No, makes your skin feel soft but not super hydrating
  • Skin types: Best suited for those who are Oily
  • Where to buy: Yesstyle

Conclusion

Would I repurchase it? In short, no. This is probably better suited for oily skin types. If you need more hydration, I would recommend the Hatomugi Skin Conditioner. It is more hydrating and it is affordable. For the Hatomugi Skin Conditioner, you can layer until your heart is content and you can even use it as a face mask. I wouldn’t recommend the Dr. Ceuracle Kombucha Essenceto to anyone who has dry skin, cause no matter how many layers you layer you won’t feel hydrated.
