faith in face mask review
Faith in Face

I grabbed a bunch of masks from Korea and one of the brands I grabbed was Faith in Face. What caught my attention was their retro packaging. Apparently, their retro packing is due to their belief in quality products rather than marketing. They believe that the” quality of products will bring back the origin of your beauty”.

Faith in Face: I need relaxing care

The first mask that caught my eye is called I need relaxing care. I wouldn’t argue with the mask. I mean, who wouldn’t want time to relax?  The mask is said to help soothe tired skin and overworked skin, especially skin that has been through harsh environment like pollution, or extreme temperatures. The mask is made out of a pearl cellulose sheet that helps soothes, moisturizes, and vitalize the skin.  It contains powerful hydrating ingredients: baobab tree extract, aloe vera leaf extract, and green tea extract.

What I thought

The mask was quite decent. The cotton mask doesn’t feel cheap and it also has a nice quality feel to it. It fit nicely on my face. After using the mask my face did looked a bit calmer than before using it. I wouldn’t say it is super special, but it is a good quality face mask.

The next mask from Faith in Face I tried out is called the Light Effect.

Faith in face: LIGht effect

This one is quite a mystery. There isn’t a lot of information on this mask. However, from looking at the package I can tell that it helps brighten, moisturize and vitalize the skin. It is also made out of a hydrogel, which is always a plus.

What I thought

The mask comes in two parts, one for the upper bottom half of your face. Unlike most regular face mask, where you could probably use either side, this mask is very specific which side to use.

HOW to use Light effect mask
  1. After cleansing your face, remove the thinner protective film from both the top and bottom masks.
  2. Apply the exposed side of the masks to your face.
  3. Then remove the thicker protective film.
  4. After 30 minutes, discard the mask and pat remaining essence into skin.

After figuring out which side to use, you will notice that the face has a netting. This strange netting is inside the hydrogel mask. It kind of reminds me of Guerisson horse oil mask {read my review here}. However, the netting of Guerissson mask was very uncomfortable and irritated my face. This one, however, didn’t hurt at all.

As for the brightening effect, I actually quite enjoyed it. It makes your skin super healthy and glowy. Kind of slightly brighter, kind of more transparent too (if that makes sense).  Beware though, it does make your face feel a little tacky but I think it is worth it.

Conclusion

If you are ever in Korea, I would definitely recommend their hydrogel mask from Faith in Face. The Light Effect is a must buy, especially if you want the glowy and transparent skin.  Their normal cotton is decent but to me, it is pretty average.
