Ever since I discovered my love Naruko Snail essence mask [ you can read the review here] from fiftyshadesofsnail, I had to try her other recommendation Naruko Narcissus Repairing DNA Mask.
What is so special about Naruko Narcissus Repairing DNA Mask
As many of you probably know, Naruko is a Taiwanese brand founded by NiuEr. NiuEr is a household name in Taiwan, sometimes people even call him the Beauty King. He is known to develop quality products that are highly effective.
The Narcissus series is supposed to help restore youthful skin especially for skin that has been prematurely aged. It supposedly hydrates, repairs, sooth the skin, restore elasticity, prevent skin from aging and relieve damage from the external environment such as staying up too late, stress and ultraviolet rays. It basically does EVERYTHING.
Narcissus is not from a person who has excessive admiration for oneself but it is a plant, specifically Narcissus Bulb Extract which help protects and restores the skin.
Although Narcissus is in the name of the mask, there are lots of other ingredients which are also found in the mask. Here is a list of the other ingredients in this magical mask:
Ingredients
Phyloferulin– is a mixture of Coptis Chinensis Franch and other plant extracts, they work together to enhance skin’s defense against the external environment while revitalizing the skin. At first, I had no idea what Coptis Chinensis Franch was, it looked like a misspelled word if you ask me. Upon my research, I found that it scavenges for radicals specifically hyroxyl radicals [1]. These radical are responsible for Atherosclerosis which can harden and narrow the arteries and stroke, cancer and neurological disorder [2].
Bifidobacterium– somehow activates the repair function in the skin, which helps maintain youthfulness- by restoring and repairs skin
Sodium Hyaluronate– help moisturize skin and lock moisture of the skin
Lactobacillus– –repairs and protects the skin and prevents the skin from aging
Potassium– energizes and repairs skin and prevents aging
Carrageen Seaweed Extract– hydrates and soothes, repairs and reduces the harmful effects of oxidation
GP4G Brine Shrimp – revitalize skin, rejuvenates tired skin, supplies energy, repairs damaged skin and protects skin from the effects of aging
Tremella Extract– -plant extract – for hydration
Fermented Olive Leaf Extract– help rejuvenate skin and reduce oxidation-damaged caused by pollution

What I thought of it
Like a typical Naruko mask, the mask fit quite well to my face, besides one part where it kind of floats in the air near the bridge of my nose. I have a flatter nose, you probably won’t get this problem. The material of the mask was quite decent, not too flimsy and not too stiff.
I quite like the mask, I never noticed a major brightening effect until I actually compared a before and after picture. You can see that my face become much calmer and brightened. The brightening effect was still quite visible I was able to wake up with clearer and even skin. My skin felt moisturized and overall great. At first, you think it is not doing much, but when you keep using it, the better results you see. It’s just a mask you just can’t stop reaching for.
Conclusion
Love the Naruko Narcissus Repairing DNA Mask, I would probably buy more of this mask and stock more. It just leaves my skin in great condition, it just basically an all-rounder.
