Freeset Donkey Milk Mask

Although donkey milk seems like a strange ingredient to be used in a mask, it was used long ago. Rumor has it that Cleopatra used to soak in a whole bathtub of donkey milk to achieve flawless skin.

You would think that donkey milk would be more similar to cow’s milk, but that isn’t the case. Apparently, its composition is closer to humans than cow’s milk. It has many anti-inflammatory omega-3 fatty acids.  It also has a rich source of vitamins and nutrients. To say the least, this mask is not lacking in benefits, with the use of a hydrogel, the benefits would be magnified.

What the mask claims to do

It claims to deeply moisturize the skin, brighten, and help with anti-aging.

How the mask looks like

This mask is quite different from other hydrogel masks, the mask is a cotton mask with a thin layer of gel. You can see in the picture below that after using the mask the gel slowly gets absorbed into your skin. After the gel is absorbed into the skin, all you get left is the cotton mask.

What I thought about it

I quite like this mask, I did see a little brightening effect after using the mask.

It is not that obvious in the picture probably because of the lightening.  My face was moisturized and brightening just what it claimed to do. After using it, I woke up with glowy and bright skin. One thing I think you got to be careful, is when you are buying it online. I really like this mask, but I also bought the whitening version and the mask that came, had no gel.  Somehow the gel part of the mask melted and became liquid. I am not sure if it is fake or if it is unstable. However, I did check to see if anything about the two masks is different, but I didn’t see any. That is why I ruled it as being unstable. Not really sure if you can do anything, maybe check the expiry dates? I think you just got to be careful.

Conclusion

It is a great mask for brightening the complexion, but I think I still prefer my Naruko Snail Mask. Don’t get me wrong this is a great mask, after wearing this at night, you will wake up with bright glowy skin. The thing I am not sure about is its unstableness. I ordered the whitening version but the gel somehow melted, which kind of sucked because hydrogels are more potent than normal cotton mask. Just don’t want to order more and end up with more melted masks, so I will stick with my snail mask instead.
