Being a dry skin gal, I was always jealous of girls with a dewy look or that “Korean glow”. They get that natural glow whereas us dry skin girls just look… normal or worst case scenario cakey. It’s a well known fact that Koreans love the dewy look. So when I saw this product was made in Korea, I knew it was promising. What made me finally get it was when I saw Pony from Pony Makeup using the Chosungah 22 24H Raybeam Highlighter in one of her videos. I had to get it, It looks amazing on her.
If you never heard of the brand Chosungah 22, it’s a Korean brand named after a well-known makeup artist. She worked with countless celebrities, models and K-pop stars. she started her own makeup line when she worked in the industry for 22 years thus the name Chosungah 22. The 22 also has a double meaning, the makeup Chosungah created is supposed to make your skin look like its 22 again regardless of what age you are.
What Chosungah 22 24H Raybeam Highlighter claims:
- 24-hour wear
- Color correct complexion
- Give a natural-looking, glowing, hydrated look
- To have 5 ingredients that transform rough skin to smooth skin
The Chosungah 22 24H Raybeam Highlighter claims to have 24-hour wear, which I’m not really sure about. Some times I wear it under foundation as a primer, and my foundation is definitely gone by the end of the day. So don’t expect it to last all day.
As for the color correcting claim, it does color correct to a certain extent. But girl if you have a giant ass pimple, the Chosungah 22 24H Raybeam Highlighter will not neutralize it. It will be still visible unless you decide to conceal it.
Conclusion
I think overall the Chosungah 22 24H Raybeam Highlighter an alright highlighter. It gives you that healthy glow without giant glitter particles. It’s not like those metallic highlighters, not those “BAM” in your face type of highlighter. It gives you a softer glow, which I love. Make sure you don’t use too much though, it gets a little blotchy if you use too much or if you don’t blend it enough. The packaging is great, a pump dispenser which means fewer germs. I would definitely buy the Chosungah 22 24H Raybeam Highlighter again although it was a pricey highlighter.
