If you haven’t read my previous post about how I reduce my whiteheads significantly {click here}.

In my last post about whiteheads, I mentioned that I have always been struggling with whiteheads. Even after I published that post, I still had some stubborn whitehead that wouldn’t budge. Since then I have discovered some new products that have greatly improved the texture of my skin. It is as if it have turned invisible unless you use look really close with  a magnifier. My skin hasn’t this clear for the longest time, which I myself can not even believe. I even asked my sister, and she could see anything.

One of the things that I am still using is the Neutrogena power cream cleaner, but instead of using my hands to massage the cleaner, I have been using a fancy tool (the blue tool in the picture below).

hhh

Ok…I lied. It not even remotely fancy, its just a simple silicone cleansing brush that I got ages ago from Diaso. I am pretty sure it is so ancient, that Diaso doesn’t even carry it anymore. However I do know that  it is relatively inexpensive, I saw on ebay for less than a dollar. I would have never thought a simple silicon brush would be remotely different than just using your hands. The reason why I started using the silicon brush, was  because it reminded me of the Foreo Luna silicone brush. I know it is nothing compared to the fancy gadget that have multiple settings and modes, but they both do the same thing. It’s totally worth trying out, if it doesn’t work you’ll just have a dollar less to spend on.

Using the silicon brush was not the only thing I changed in my skin routine. You remember how I mentioned not to use anything oily from the previous post but I continued to use oils anyways? Well, I stopped using the Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil not because I didn’t like the product but I got a bit lazy and my skin improved regardless.  I also started to use a chemical exfoliant (which I will mention below), so I did not want to use retinol on top of a chemical exfoliant.

Although these changes may not seen significant, my skin has been improving. As I mentioned above, I started to use a chemical peel, specifically AHA. This chemical exfoilant definitely gave the whitehead the final push to extinction. The chemical exfoilator I started using was Cosrx AHA 7 Whitehead Power liquid. I have never heard the brand Cosrx before, but apparently it is an affordable Korean brand  with quality products. It definitely deserves the name of Whitehead Power liquid, it is quite effective against whiteheads.

Quick review of the Corrx AHA 7 power liquid

Initially when I bought it, I thought it was called Whitehead “killer”, with a name like “whitehead killer”  I thought no whitehead could stand a chance against it. I was definitely was not disappointed by the product, despite its not called whitehead killer. it was still quite effective.

According to the site:

“AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid is formulated to resurface the skin and renew the complexion, giving a radiant, reduces the appearance of whitehead. To relieve skin trouble and remove whiteheads, Apple Water containing natural AHA and Glycolic Acid are included.”

Do be careful of not over exfoliating your skin when using this product. I found that it stings a bit when I apply it to my face but it is still gentle enough to use on a daily basis. If you have never used a chemical exfoilator before, I recommend slowly incorporating into your skincare. I didn’t find the smell noticeable, but if you smell closely it does smell like chemicals, although I don’t really mind it. I have also noticed this product have helped reduce the hyperpigmentation left by my acne. My skin is a bit brighter and smoother. I have used the Paula’s Choice 10% AHA resurfacing treatment, and I found it not as effective as the Cosrx Whitehead Power Liquid against whiteheads.

Thanks,

Michelle
